This alloy has good thermal fatigue, is relatively ductile, and has good gold leaching characteristics compared to tin based alloys and shows high resistance to corrosion. It is generally used in circuit assembly, die-attachments closures, and device attachment under specific circumstances where high oxidation potential of indium is less important.
